Data Management, Inc. is a regional provider of billing and collection services for hospital-based pathologists, radiologists, and emergency medical practices in the central United States. The owners had successfully grown this Illinois-based healthcare revenue cycle management enterprise to a point where the exploration of strategic and financial alternatives was desired. Promontory was engaged to confidentially market the opportunity to a targeted audience of both financial and select strategic parties and ultimately, a transaction with a private equity firm resulted in the most desirable outcome. The owners achieved their shareholder liquidity objectives and the business of DMI and employees remain today as an independent organization.
